The bench is joined through a series of keyed miter joints and mortises and tenons, each hand cut. I wove the seat with Danish cord, wrapping it around traditional L-shaped nails that are hidden on the inside of the seat frame. The curves on the vertical apron details are shaped by hand, and the walnut is finished with Danish oil, enhancing and preserving the natural beauty of the wood.
